Color & selection

Dark, Light, Balayage, and Rooted at a Glance

Updated

The Stessia color worlds help you sort many shades quickly. They describe price and color categories, not the quality of the hair.

Dark

Dark covers deep tones from black through various brown and dark blonde shades. They suit even, rich color results.

Light

Light includes bright blonde, silver, and accent colors as well as selected highlight blends. Light colors react especially visibly to lighting and displays.

Balayage

Balayage colors combine several tones in one gradient. They can create movement, contrast, and a salon-like color result.

Rooted

Rooted shades have a deliberately darker area at the roots and lighter lengths. This can make the transition to your own hair look softer.
